Get ready for a 3.5% increase to base rates of pay
The Fair Work Commission Annual Wage Review Panel increase for 2018 was determined in respect of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010 on 2nd June 2018. The 3.5% wage increase in the base rate of pay will be applicable to all employees for the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2018.
The 2018 Annual Wage Review is a national minimum wage increase of $24.30 per week (63.9c per hour).
The Fair Work Commission Wage Review Panel announced the 3.5% increase to the minimum weekly wage, bringing it up to $719.20 a week ($18.93 per hour).
The new minimum wage will come into effect from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2018.
The AHA (Vic) will be providing members with a new wage rate card and allowance charts, once the new levels have been finalised by the Fair Work Commission.
